I am trying to segregate it according to the tastes and preferences so please help yourself.
Best Pubs:
Purple Haze, Kormangala is the must visit if you really are among the ones who love head banging and can actually sing along with the crowd at the highest of your pitches. Cheap, Amazing and Lively(particularly at Fridays).this is the best place to be anyday.
Styx,MG Road is another good and decent option.
Tavern At The Inn is a fun and different place to be with decent ambiance and crowd.
Stones, Indiranagar for the ones who can have just Draught Beer and good retro jazz and soft rock as their Supper.
The Blue Bar, Race Course Road is one expensive and truly once in a blue moon option when you have earned and saved decent for one special evening.
The HARD ROCK CAFE, MG Road: Its the father of all Pubs and we all know that. It needs no explanation
Lounges:
The Couch, MG Road is the best with not creating a big hole in your pocket and with a decent young crowd.
The Vaayu,Brigade Road is the value for money for all .

Take 5, 100 ft Road Indiranagar: Its my favo place as it has got the best ambiance to get cozy with your lady love and nice crowd everytime I was there.
The 13th Floor , MG Road: Only if you get the terris table this place is one of the best places for a Candle Light Dinner.
